About Mohamed Sobhy
Mohamed Sobhy was born on March 3, 1948, in Cairo, Egypt. He graduated with honors from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts and later served as a teaching assistant in the Acting and Directing Department before leaving academia to devote himself entirely to his artistic vision. His career has become a major milestone in Egyptian and Arab cultural consciousness
Throughout his distinguished career, Mohamed Sobhy has received dozens of Arab and international awards in recognition of his contributions to theatre, drama, and culture. His honors include prestigious awards for creativity, acting, and directing, as well as major Arab distinctions such as the Palestinian Order of Culture and Arts and the Sharjah Award for Arab Theatre Creativity, in addition to numerous honors from festivals, universities, and cultural institutions inside and outside Egypt
Conditions:
-Open to all cartoonists and caricaturists worldwide
-Each artist may submit up to two artworks
-Artworks may be in color or black and white
-Size: A3
-Resolution: 300 dpi
-Format: JPEG
-AI-generated or AI-assisted artworks are not accepted
-The artist’s name and country must be included with each submission
-The organizing committee reserves the right to use selected artworks for exhibition-related purposes, including printing, publishing, and promotion across print, visual, and social media platforms
Prizes:
-All selected artists will receive a digital exhibition catalog
-All exhibiting artists will receive a digital certificate of participation
