Humor Sapiens
With the purpose of recognizing and encouraging the study, reflection,
and promotion of humor as a cultural, artistic, social, and human
phenomenon, the Humor Sapiens International Award was created.
The prize seeks to highlight the work of those who, through research,
teaching, criticism, creation, or cultural management, contribute
significantly to the understanding and appreciation of humor in its
many dimensions
Conditions:
-Each year, the Humor Sapiens International Award is presented in two
categories:
- a) Outstanding Individual: to a scholar, researcher, thinker, or
promoter of humor.
- b) Outstanding Institution: to an organization, center, or entity that
fosters the knowledge, practice, or dissemination of humor for
cultural, artistic, educational, or social purposes.
Through this award, Humor Sapiens reaffirms its vocation to be a
bridge between laughter and thought, between fun and wisdom, between humor and its rigorous study
-We invite the entire community engaged with reflective and cultural
humor to send us well-argued nominations of candidates (both
individuals and institutions) deemed worthy of this recognition
-Include the following in the body of the message:
Full name of the person or institution being nominated
Brief biographical or institutional summary (max. 300 words)
Reasons why you believe they deserve the award
