Theme:
-The Day After the Last War Humanity Has Ever Faced
What might life look like after humanity ends all wars for good? We
invite artists to imagine this pivotal moment—whether it’s fragile
peace, ecological renewal, rebuilt societies, or the unforeseen
consequences of survival. Use humor, irony, visionary hope, or haunting
reflection to explore what the dawn after conflict might bring.
-Satirical Portrait: Evelyne Porret – “Godmother of Tunis Village”
We pay tribute to Evelyne Porret (1939–2021), the Swiss potter whose
vision transformed Tunis Village in Fayoum into a global hub of ceramic
craft. In the 1980s she founded the Fayoum Pottery School, teaching
ceramics to local children—especially young women—and helping them build
livelihoods and creative identities. Her legacy endures in the thriving
artisan community she helped nurture.
We invite respectful, imaginative portraits that honor her impact, her
passion for art, empowerment, and sustainable community transformation
